Read the historical clue
Start a journey and read the event on screen. Use the clue and its hint to place the moment in history, from ancient civilizations to more recent discoveries.

Guess the year
Enter a whole year from 1 AD to the current year, then press GO or Enter. You have 25 seconds for each event, so make your best guess before the clock runs out.

Learn from the reveal
After each guess, Eraly shows the correct year, how far away your answer was, and an explanation. Closer guesses earn more points and move you through time.

Finish seven and play again
Complete all seven moments to see your score and time log. Start another journey whenever you like, with unseen events used first and no daily limit on play.

The game draws unseen events before reshuffling the bank. No event repeats within a single journey, giving you seven different moments to think about each run.

An exact year earns 100 points. A guess within five years earns 85, within twenty earns 60, and within fifty earns 30. Seven exact answers make a perfect 700.
Any other valid year still earns 10 points, while an unanswered event earns zero. The final time log lists each guess, correct year, and the points you earned.

What is Eraly?

How do I play Eraly Classic?

Is this Eraly game unlimited?
Yes. You can start another journey as soon as you finish one. There is no daily attempt limit, waiting period, or account required to keep exploring the past.
How long do I have to guess each year?
The standard game gives you 25 seconds per event. Submit a year before time runs out, or turn on Relaxed mode in the game menu to play without the countdown.
How does Eraly scoring work?
An exact year earns 100 points. Within five years gets 85, within twenty gets 60, and within fifty earns 30. Any other valid guess gets 10; a timeout gets zero.
What is the highest possible score?
The highest score is 700 points across seven events. You need the exact year on every guess to reach it. Your best completed score is saved in this browser.
Can I play without a timer?
Yes. Open the game menu and enable Relaxed mode. The countdown becomes unlimited, so you can take your time with every historical clue and still see your score.
What happens when the clock runs out?
An unanswered event earns zero points when the timer ends. Eraly reveals the correct year and its explanation, then lets you continue to the next moment.
Can I enter years before 1 AD?
This question bank uses AD years. Enter a whole number between 1 and the current year. Empty entries, negative years, decimals, and future dates are rejected.
Will I see the same events again?
Eraly uses unseen events first and reshuffles when the bank is exhausted. You may revisit an event in a later journey, but it never repeats within the same run.
Does Eraly save my progress?
Your best score, completed journeys, settings, and unfinished game are saved in this browser. Clearing site data removes them; another device has its own save.
Can I turn off the game sounds?
Use the speaker button above the game or switch Retro sound off in the menu. Your choice is saved in this browser, so your next journey uses the same setting.
Can I play Eraly on my phone?
Yes. The game works in a phone browser and offers a numeric keyboard for entering years. On a computer, you can type your guess and press Enter to submit it.
How can I share my score?
Finish all seven events and choose Copy result. Eraly copies your score, result squares, and a link to this game so you can share your journey with friends.
